I have an issue. 89 body Grey plug and a 90 auto harness. There are two big cube shaped dark Grey plugs that go in the glove box next to the ecu plugs. They do not plug into each other but have very similar wite colors. What should I do? Cut the plug off of my 7mge harness and match wires and resolder? Cut the plug up to fit? Let me know. Got most everything else all hooked up.

Yes the plugs are different. I believe the wire colors should be the same.

Prolly will have to cut and solder a different plug in. Could check to see if you can depin and re pin not sure if the pins are the same tho.

I found a big thread on it. After going through the TEWD and findiing it's the B1 plug I found more threads on it. Most people are saying that only the connector changed but the wires are still the same. I'll just have to spend some time swapping connectors out.

Also the b3 plug, is that for abs? My car has abs but the other one didn't, I hope I don't have to lose my abs :/

Looked at my car has the b3 plug so I'm good there, just the m1 plug I think it's called the flat white one I think it's for auto connectors which obviously my car does not have so nbd there. Otherwise I hope it will turn over and not spill water everywhere friday :DD

I would try to get new connectors. Then you can re pin the connectors. Dr Tweek might sell you the correct connectors you need. I would not hack and solder them. What happens if you have to pull engine again. Or cylinder head. IMO Good luck.

New or used connector wont matter.

If you need to add abs you will need to add that connector and the 3 wires black red and yellow to the abs connector. Not sure how you would not have that connector as all 89+ turbo models had pps which is on the same connector.

Well I got through most of it. I had the nsw left over that my new harness didn't have. And on the 7mgte harness there was a left over big black/white and a teal/red cable that didn't plug into my new one.

On the b1 plug of the 90 harness had an extra white/black wire I think it was that was one of the big center ones that my didn't have. Mine was a blue/white which the 90 did have on the top middle where mine was on the middle middle. I'm trying to find a b1 pinout for a 90+ harness..

Also everything is set up, cranked for about 20s but battery died. I definitely had spark but the plugs were dry. Hoping I just need to turn the starter more to get fuel pumped to the rail and all again?

Hey yeah I did exactly that by jumping the terminals and I definitely heard fuel going through there. Well I realized I didn't have hte afm plugged in so it probably wasn't opening the injectors....

So after all that I tried it again, we got one backfire and the starter died again have to let the battery slow charge over night. Think I'm good just need more cranks?

Also I for the life of me can't find this plug, or what goes to it. It was next to the ignitor on my body harness, didn't find it in the whole tewd. And it's not the c1 plug... Can't find anything to plug into it anyways.

Also random clip of it trying to turn over.. Before afm plugged in.. >> If that helps at all.

Afm gives it the signal for the fuel pump to turn on. Without it plugged in fuel won't get turned on.

Don't worry about that plug.

Well it's plugged in now. We got one loud backfire pop, blew soem smoke out the afm but then the battery died. Should I just wait for charge and crank it for awhile tomorrow? :D

A should start pretty fast. Shouldn't take a while.

If the gas is old I would drain the tank and re fill. There is a drain plug.

Also make sure the cps is installed correctly.

And check the spark plugs.

I just checked all plugs are plugged in. 1 plug was sparking when we pulled it out to see. I aligned the cps notches from a guide I've seen. Gas is fine. Hope something will happen tomorrow! Too excited to sleep.

Well it ran!! Rough idle engine was shaking around a lot but held an idle for over a minute at like 800 rpm. I had a tyota head mechanic do the engine timing, I did the cps according to a guide just having the wheel match up with the marks inside but maybe I didn't do it right. It had oil pressure like 20 psi and there was smoke from the t urbo area.. Think that's from the exhaust paint i used on the turbine housing or cause I just put hose water in the rad for now because I didn't have any coolant right now?
