Help: Dual boot menu with only 1 OS

Ok, so i installed vista onto my second hard drive.
Every time i booted the computer, it had a menu either "Earlier version of windows" or "windows vista"
well anyawys
i formatted the hard drive that had vista
and im still getting that boot menu

How the hell do i get rid of it, ive tried formatting it through the operating, system, tried booting through xp cd and deleting partition on the vista hd, even tried unplugging the hard drive .
still get that menu.

It sounds like you have another drive beside the vista one, so back that one up and reformat it as well. Also make sure the Vista is your master.
