Im changing all my stock gauges to (except for speedo and tach) to the autometer nexus gauges, and/or autometer cobalt gauges. Anyways, whatever gauges I use, I'd like to know If Im going to be sending codes to the computer. My car is currently an NA, but will be swapped to a turbo in the near future, and I don't have a standalone or piggy back ecu system. Its just stock right now.

So will I screw up my stock ECU replacing stock gauges with aftermarket. PLease let me know. Thanks.

BTW: When it do this it'll probablly be autometer nexus water temp, stock tach and speedo, nexus fuel psi, oil psi, and boost/vac. (can I use boost/vacuum gauge just as a vacuum gauge until I go turbo. On a dual gauge pillar pod I'll have digital auto meter cobalt voltmeter, and autometer coblat fuel level.

Help me out guys. thanks

you'll be fine. just dont hack apart the harness behind the dash. even so, if you did/do, i still dont think it would throw a code... just be careful, that's all.

you wont have any problems. the only possible code that you could get is for the speed sensor (I dont remember the code number) as it is built into the speedometer head unit. being that you plan on leaving that then you will be perfectly fine. even then, that could easily be simulated many different ways if you wanted to replace the speedo also. the tach is deffinitly not a problem either in the event that you ever wanted to change that out also.

Let this be a warning ;)!

Looks like the aftermarket gauge thing can become addictive.
