Go to the Lexus V8 forums. There's a lot of good tips on there. However that's for swaping in 1UZFE, 2UZFE and 3UZFE engines. They have a whole section dedicated to the V8 Supra swap. (Not many have completed this, still very unique)

Click here for the Lexus V8 forums

Personally I'd prefer to keep the Asian motors in the Asian cars. Plus, a 3UZFE (the 4.3 liter V8) with an open exhaust sounds amazing. The 3UZFE is the engine used in the Lexus SC430. I've heard those with a Borla exhaust system and it's just music to the ears.

I am doing an LS6 swap into my Supra. What gen block are you planning on? Is this a carburetor or fuel injected engine? What transmission do you plan on? Essentially you will need to make new engine and tranny mounts and driveshaft as well. If it is EFI you'll of course need a different ECM and get it all wired up one way or another.

That was the same question I was going to ask, EFI or carb. The carb swap is a breeze. The sbc tends to run a little too hot with our radiator so a custom or a upgrade for a 7m is the way to go. The motor mounts, tranny mount, fuel, exhaust and cooling are the easy parts. Its hooking up powersteering, air cond, and gauges in the dash that are a pain in the ass.
Use shorty block hugger headers back to a single exhaust. Duals gave a clearence issue and sound too "camaro from the 80's". The front springs are fine for the weight also, being the the sbc is nearly the same weight as our
7m. Go for it, then add a paxton to it when your done.

Put a 3uzfe in it for the love of god... I heard an LS430 with an exhaust, and there are no words that I can think of to describe the absolutely beautiful sound...
You know how your car will drip water in the form of condensation out the tailpipe?
Well, that LS430 dripped sex. Pure sex. DO IT!!!

i'm going with a carb i don't want to deal with the ecu and the pain of having to deal with the fuel presure and all that i'm useing a built 400 turbo to it i have a friend that makes driveshafts so that should be a problem. 350 block is a new one but i'm using vortex heads and going to go ahead and bore it to about a 355 or bigger just going to see what the shop says. i will be using a factory rear end from a supra i haven't fully decide on which one i have a 3:73, 3:90 and a 4:10 all lsd but will go with 3:73 if i'm going to street it much thanks for the help and please keep a eye of any one that has done this i know a long time ago i talked to a guy on supraforums that could make motor mounts that for the swap but the forums are donw so i haven't had a chance to check that lead but agian thanks for the replys

I think he said he has had 26...
likely not all at the same time.
<lowbudgettarga and I have a dream of a supra only junkyard, which would in fact allow us to have that many supras.... for now we settle for three and a half between the two of us.>

i have had up to 21 one at one time no joke i have them at the house i part them out with help of my father i have been at it for serval years i found that supra people always needed things just like i did and have had great luck finding cars that people gave up on and decide that one supra that is dead could still give life to many more.

hey me and a friend of mine did a 327 swap in an 87 na auto it takes alot of beating and banging but it can be done we had to make custom motor mounts tranny mounts and a different drive shaft we also had a problem with the rear end it kept getting basically ripped out so we took the motor out and sold it then i took the body to my brothers and hes still got it now but good luck any ways "you should stick a big ass turbo on it just for the fact of it being a supra then you can say (hey its a 350 TURBO lol)
