Hi, I'm mostly just posting to get rid of the message telling me if I don't my account may be deleted.
I've had a 1987 Supra Turbo half dismantled in my garage for almost a year. I had bought it with a few issues not realizing the risk those issues entailed. Even though I had the oil leaks and stuff fixed there was already a slight knock. Everyone kept telling me it was probably just lifter noise. So after driving it for only a week early one morning on my way to work the slight ticking noise turned into a very loud banging noise. I limped the car to work and then had it towed home.
I thought about what to do with it for a few months and then decided I would try to fix it myself. I put it in my garage and pulled the engine out. I know what was making the noise now. I also think I know what the next steps are. I'm starting to work on it again and really hope to have it finished and going by mid August.
