Just wanted to introduce myself - I'm a fellow auto enthusiast. I like all fast cars regardless of make or model. I have always liked the way n/a lightweight cars drove, but my new acquired 1991 Supra Turbo has been pretty convincing despite being the complete opposite of what I traditionally drove. I currently own a 96 Integra RS and a 91 Supra Turbo. Anyhow, hit me up if you're in the RGV - Mcallen, Edinburg or Harlingen Texas areas.

By the way: I have an extra 7MGTE what came with my Supra, and I will post it up for sale as soon I get the privileges here! Should I part it out or sell it as a whole. Here's some photos if you were curious: http://picasaweb.google.com/bturru/100V1003?authkey=Gv1sRgCPWCyrua8PemGw&feat=directlink#

Here are my rides. This is the pics when I picked up my MKIII!

No use for it, came as a spare motor with the car, and need money to swap my MKIII to manual. It comes with an extra CT26 Turbo and ECU if anyone is interested!

suprahero has kindly given me the heads up on how things work on SM. I hope I have not offended anyone by somewhat advertising my extra 7MGTE. She will be on hold for now until I get my selling privileges here on SM and post on the for sale thread; I want to do it the right way and don't want to offend members or mod's. Let's just keep this thread as my intro... If you have questions, please feel free to pm me.

no motor swap, i think i want to work with the 7mgte. shipping weight seems to be lighter than jz motors, but can anyone verify the weight on these things. I plan to do a manual tranny swap - r154, and definitely clean that engine bay. Previous owner's work. I have started tidying up in the engine bay. I plan to build a road race mkiii. I currently do local time attacks / road race / HPDE with the local porsche club. I have been running my Integra and have finished first in my class, but I wanted a rwd to broaden my driving repertoire. So selling the Integra to work on the MKIII, lol!

The 7M's are about the same as the JZ's. There isn't much difference. If you're going to be doing that kind of racing, the first thing you'll want to do is to upgrade the oil pick-up. They're known for having oiling issues while cornering. Lucky, Kaizen Motorsports, one of our vendors, sells said part. Honestly, I'd make sure the motor is in good shape, upgrade the radiator and oil pick-up, and then focus on the suspension and brakes and tires. That'll net you a lot of improvement.

Thank honestabe! I will definitely look into the kaizen oil-pick up. Last thing I want is oiling problems in a corner - smells like disaster waiting to happen! The mkiii already had a fluidyne radiator and dual fans when I got her, so that should suffice in that area...

Which dual fans? If their stock you're good, if they're electric you may want to swap them out for the stock clutch fan.
unfortunately, they're electric... what's the advantage to the stock clutch fan, and I apologize in advance for my ignorance? I have not looked into it...

Welcome Sir
I have a soft spot for clean red 91 Supras.

You have a beautiful mkiii there sir, and thanks for the complements. I'm in the process of making her even cleaner. Is yours t-top or sunroof?
