Hello, my user name is Kangae but my real name is Randy. You can call me whatever you would like.

I'm a recently new Mk3 Supra owner. Basically I just got my Supra on sept
1st. Its a 1989, with the 7M-GTE. It really doesnt have anything done to it right now, really I'm just trying to patch up things that were done by the previous owner. After that I'm not sure where I will go with the car.

If you want to see a picture of the car here is a link:

Anyway, Hello to everyone.

Well anyway, turns out after I did some research on my car, its actually a 1986 Supra that originally came with a 7m-ge. Thing is though its got a complete 1987 7m-gte swap in it, and its got the whole drivetrain associated with the 7m-gte aswell. So I guess it sucks that I was lied to by the previous owner, but its not as bad as it could be I suppose since everything is in good condition. I also found out today from the previous owner that it has a metal head gasket too.

At the very least it's an 1986.5 - if it were a true 1986 it would be a MKII (different body style)

Looks like your front bumper and rear spoiler are from an 1989+ car as well.

Also, can you post a pic of the taillights?

Yeah sure I have a pic of the tail lights, and yeah it is a 1986.5, just when I did a carfax search of the vin it just said 1986 and I wasnt thinking at the time. The front bumper is newer though you can tell (though not really from the pic) its even a different shade of blue from the rest of the car...and the spoiler wasnt even attached all the way when I picked it up so I'm guessing that was a quick fix too...

Yeah I have so many things I want to to that I figured I would go ahead and start a build thread and get started right away. Also I'm actually thinking of changing the color, to a color which I recently learned is called spectra blue mica. Anyway if you do like that color the previous owner said that the car was "Viper Blue", (maybe thats referring to a dodge viper?)

Anyway yeah most of my plans are over in my build thread if you want to take a look.
