Hi everyone, this is my first time on a forum. a couple months ago I bought an 87 supra turbo that was badly beaten as a project car. Unfortunately a couple weeks later my daily driver 96 Acura TL with a killer system was stolen:icon_sad: Scanning craigslist franticly i found an 89 supra turbo that appeared to be in decent shape. Reducing my prior purchase to a parts car. I picked it up for $1800 with what i thought was a manifold leak. after replacing the manifold and turbo gaskets I realized that wasnt the case. long story short the motor had been swapped and when it was out to the car the EGR cooler plate had a quarter sized hole smashed in it. Anyone who has tried to remove the EGR cooler with the engine in the car knows how much of a bitch this is. (zero clearance between head and firewall) Anyways now im working out the kinks trying to make this car back into the beast it once was.
I have always disliked forums because I see someone ask a question, someone tries to answer it and then everyone just talks smack to one another. I chose supramania because there doesnt seem to be much of that here. I look forward to talking with you guys and hope we can help each other.
