If you didn't notice by my tag, my name is Dan, pleasure to meet ya!

Just a quickie about me. I'm 21 years old, i'm located in Clayton North Carolina (about 25 minutes from Raleigh, so if there are any Supra meets around here or there, let me know guys/gals!)

I've had a couple cars in my years, all 'tuner' cars so to say. My first ever car i got was when i was 14 (my dad got it for me, it was $300!) it was a junker, but it ran! oh and by the way, it was an 88 supra ;) 5-speed and all. I learned how to drive stick in about 1 hour of practice in the school parking lot. My dad actually let me drive home that day from the school (it was practically around the corner) I'll never forget that, it was so great. So i had that car for about 2 weeks, and in all its glory, the water pump went haha! It was going to cost more to fix then what the car was worth so my dad sold it to his buddy for $100.

Fast forward a couple of years and a couple cars (which in order go: '95 eagle talon tsi awd, '04 honda s2000, '10 nissan 370z, and now [which is for sale] a '96 Subaru impreza awd] '11 Suzuki gsx-r 1000 [still own]) and now here I am, back to where i started! I currently now own a 1989 Toyota supra turbo 5-speed. She's a beaut. She's only got 60,000 miles on her and she's a dream.

Unfortunately she isn't all perfect, she sprung a tiny oil leak in the oil cooler rubber hose on the way home (which was a 1000 mile trip by the way) granted we didn''t have to even fill it once with oil (small leak) it still has to get fixed lol. Also, this is a big one, the rear end is shot. It seems the front seal is bad, and on the way home we smelled a bad burning tranny smell from the car, but there was no way it was the tranny, it shifts smoother than melted butter. and there was no leaks from what we could see. so we stopped to get something to eat and let the car rest for a couple minutes, and when we came out we noticed the rear end was leaking. differential is shot -_-

so what was a long trip just got longer and we had to take it especially easy now with the differential, we actually had to fill it once on the way home. When i finally got home i got her up on jack stands in the garage and got straight to work. emptied the rear and holy s***. talk about bad fluids. smelled absolutely terrible and was practically black. also the magnetic drain plug had about almost an inch diameter of like goop/metal shavings (no bueno hah) on it. so now i'm seeing how much it's going to cost to get it rebuilt or just buy a new one if the price difference isn't tpoo drastic.

But enough about that. I'm very glad to be part of an awesome community, i've been browsing this site for a while now and it's really great.

if anyone wants to meet up and cruise or just hang out let me know, that includes bike cruising too. (but if it's for the supra, gimme a couple weeks to get her runnin :D haha )

Just a couple pics from the guy i bought it from, i will get better pics when it's up and running

i look forward to my time here. also, any questions or anything, let me hear 'em

Oh i couldn't agree more. It's not the fear that gets me, it's the going to school full time and only having 20 hour work weeks that get me lmao. no money= annoying
