:1zhelp: Hi I have been lurking long enough. I have searched and read every thing I need to know about these wonderful and addictive cars.My son says it still looks sweet in the garage with the hood up. That leads to a couple of questions.

I have an 88 MKlll Turbo 5 sd.Motor supposed to have less than 500 miles on it.Did have leak in coolant sytem. and smoked at boost. i repaired leaks to external coolant system but couldnt do leak down test (couldnt find adp. for Koyo ? Rad.)the turbo has 60-1and 10 degree clip?and all the usual goodies Lexus AFM, 550 injectors,npr intercooler. I did some little things like move the catch can to front ofthe car.and re routed lines and made brackets ETC.
the car ran great. but the smoke got worst. and more often. so i took out plugs and did compression check.

1.190,2.190,3.130 (140 w/oil) 4.185,5.195,6.200
couldnt get a leakdown tester but tried to rig one up. soo...
Is it a BHG and or rings what else should I try?
I had some oil leaks at the turbo oil drain Bolts missing and the other loose

Is their any coolant in the oil? It can have a BHG without that little telltale, but would sure check that. Your comprression on #3 is pretty low, I bet the rings in #3 are bad, BUT I am a newb, so take what I say with a grain of salt. (I still try and be helpful... :biglaugh: ) On the smoking, is your turbo itself smoking and the exhaust? What color is the smoke? Good Luck Bud!
