not 100% sure but isnt that the heater control valve or something along those lines, the hose goes out and into one side of the heater core

It is the heater control valve, and it controls whether there is hot coolant sent to the heater core in the cabin.

However, it is likely not the reason you are feeling heat. It only shuts off when the climate control unit is set to full cold, the rest of the time it's open anyway.

If you set your climate control to recycle air instead of fresh, and you still get heat, there's something wrong with the blend door or it's controller.

OK, on the climate control I should push the button that has the picture of the car in? and what is the blend door? The thing in the glove compartment that opens up when you push it in?

S/N: I did take the HCV off on my swap. Saw it on Dr. Tweaks build so I decided to rip mine out as well...

OK, I set it to recycle air and now I don't feel the heat.. Thanks man, that thing has been bugging me for the longest. I know it use to not be like that, but wow I guess I hit the button when I was putting in the radio bezel.
