heat wrap

has anyone exhaust wrapped their intercooler pipe? i have after market intercooler piping and it gets kind of warm to the touch after alot of driving, after hard driving it get HOT to the touch. any opinions?

Some people do it. Its going to get hot being under there tho pretty much no matter what esp with a stock 7m manifold.

i have the heat shield over the turbo, no blanket. would the coating keep alot of the heat off the piping?

IndyMK3 has it on his. We did some nice pulls (18psi) for about an hour. Got our the car and you could grab the section he wrapped with the car still running. I recommend wrapping it. We also used a temp gun on it, hottest point on it (above turbo) was 90*F.
