Im redoing my interior in another color. But I have a hardtop. Anyone kno any ideas on how to do the headliner? Otherwise im just gonna tape off what doesnt need to be colored and recline the seats and lay back and color it.

do what Justin just stated. Once you take off the headliner your just opening another can of worms. The stuff Justin is referring to is 3M spray adheasive. It's strong as hell, but can get a little messy, so maskoff your entire interior unless everything is removed. Have fun, I'm redoing my old burgandy inteior to charcoal and dark graphite.

+1 for you Justin

Make sure you use the 91, it comes in a black can, and NOT the 77 which comes in a green can. I tried the 77 and it could nOT hold my vinyl on the plastic well. The 91 had much more success.

My head liner was vinyl I just unhooked it from the roof and painted it. The down side is you have to take a lot of the interior out to get to the headliner. After that it's just two little clips in about the middle of it on the back side. You have to reach behind and pop them off. It comes in and goes out pretty easily.

*When I did it I had almost the entire interior out doing an interior swap, so for me it was really easy to get out of there.
