Thursday a person backed into the front of my 87 supra, he hit it right in front of the drivers side headlight, the headlight would not come up after he hit it so I had to persuade it to go up, now it wont go down, what I was wondering is, until I can get the money to fix it from his insurance company (already have taken it to a body shop to see what's the cost will be) how can I get the other headlight to stay up so I'm not winking when I drive down the road, sorry but I really hate that look, I also want to make sure that I'm not going to burn out or damage the motor on the drivers side headlight because it wont move, I want to be able to turn the headlights on and off from the switch but I don't want the lights to move, I used the manual crank to raise the other light and it did work, but when I shut off the lights it went back down.
Any help would be appreciated

Either turn your headlight switch off but not all the way back so the lights stay up, or turn the lights on and then unplug the passenger side headlight motor.
