now what is the best metal gasket. i just need to replace the gasket.

Metal Head Gasket? So you are taking the entire motor out? You're going to have the block machined by a shop so you can use the MHG? Did you read my first response? I dont think you did...

Just to be 100% clear:

MHG requires machine work on the block. If you are just taking off the head you should NOT, I repeat, SHOULD NOT use a MHG. Are we clear?

If you want to make the job easy on yourself and dont plan on making more than ~300hp you need to use a regular Toyota Head Gasket. It's more forgiving and will be much more reliable than a MHG without machine work on the block.

is this worth it too, since im taking the head off. http://www.eportuning.com/86-92-Toy...ne-Gasket-Head-Set/Toyota/Supra-p5459757.html

Refer to the TSRM for torquing instructions. Google TSRM and you'll have a free $100 manual. It tells you EXACTLY how to replace a head gasket. Step by Step. You can also see the BHG tutorial in my sig.

That gasket set looks crazy cheap. You will need a gasket set, but you may want to get a better one than the one you posted.

suprarx7nut pretty much spelled it out for you...read his post if your still unsure(idk how you would be) use the SEARCH feature on this forum... oh, and cheaper IS NOT better when it comes to a HG/engine gasket set...unless you enjoy doing it over and over

I'm just unsure on the head gasket bc I'm around that 300hp range and since I'm taking the head out was thinking if there's a complete kit to fresh up the engine alil more.

with my build i used the stone gasket kit i didn't use the hg that came with it because i used the hks stopper mhg but the hg that came with the stone set has copper rings around the cylinders and water jackets so that one could be the same as oem or very close to it

Get a Toyota Headgasket, exhaust manifold, turbo inlet and outlet gasket. Then you can use one of the cheap gasket sets like the one you just posted. Dont know why I'm still posting in this thread. It's like yelling in a soundproof room...
