Head surfacing (90 Supra Mk3 7mgte)

I need to know how much you can surface the head before you have piston to valve clearance problems, my local machine shop wouldnt even touch it...

Why wouldn't they touch it? What did they say? IIRC the thickness of the head from valve cover deck to the HG deck is 116mm... Search for the rest dude. Look up at the top bar and the 7th section over is called *gasp* SEARCH.

You never did answer why the machinist wouldn't touch it? What did they say is wrong?
