Cam bearing?
Replace what, the bearing? There isn't one. It is the head.

What is wrong with the head that makes you think that?

shit, so i need a new head. it is knocking in the top end. i know this as i have had 6=technicains listen to it, they all said it was coming from the same spot. i have yet to pull the valve covers and check it out though. so there is no bearings in there, just the journal that the cam rides on?

you need to test the oil pressure with a mechanical guage. Seen one to many stock gauges fail on good pressure. Once you get the readings from a mechanical gauge THEN and only then can you make a good assesment.

Not to mention the "knocking" could be a real bad shim or even a bad wrist pin.
Have you checked with a stethoscope to find out where the sound is really coming from?

yes, six honda technicians listened to it WITH a stethoscope and all there other lil ways to listen like a skrew driver and piece of hose.....they all said top end, front right side(sitting in the car) by the CPS. its a loud knock and there is metal shaving in the oil that the oil filter cought.

i just want higher oil pressure even if it isnt that low.

also were can i get a new head that isnt real expensive. and what are some good after market valve springs/retainers that are realy expensive...im on a tight budget here. i looked at some ferea and they were arond 500 for the valves alone.

thanks

sorry bud but there is nothing in the head that would tap that bad without the motor being siezed. Unles of course it is just not as loud as you are making it seem.

LOL Honda techs.....

Did you drain the oil and look for metal shavings? If you have a shitload of metal in your oil you most likely have a case of rodknock. If not, you probably just need a valve clearance adjustment.

ya there is metal shavings, thats what made me decide to stop driving it. the oil that drained from the filter looked like lip gloss it was so glittery.
