ok when i started my car about 3 weeks ago i noticed my car was idiling erratically when i drove and even when i put it into neutral. it sounded like i had a bad batch of gas but i wasnt sure. When it kept doing it i checked my spark plugs just in case they were bad.....i checked my spark plug closest to the back and the cap was very loose and i pulled it up and it was covered in oil! i'm praying its not my head and was wondering what else it could be.....like a gasket or something.....i also want to know the costs of repairs...:1zhelp:

look at all the other spark plug holes do you notice oil in the valley? If enough oil gets down on the sparkplug it can mess with the wires and plugs and cause you to idle rough/run like shit same thing with getting water in there.

Just go through each one of the spark plugs clean out all the oil (if any) on top of the spark plugs and then after its all cleaned out remove the spark pllugs 1 by one and examine each.

could be valve cover gaskets... I had a butt load of oil leaking down into my sparkplug valley, I'm sure 2 of the cylinders werent firing right, the caps were almost off....

The gasket that the plug wires go through is called the spark plug boot. It would be more likely that the valve covers are coming lose and oil is sitting on top of the plugs after going past the boot and when you pulled them out it covered them. I would pull the valve covers and check those gaskets. If when you do this the screws are loose, get some blue loctite and put a few drops on each one before insertion. In short..., you probably IMO, need to get a new plug boot and valve cover gaskets.
