Head lights on when car is off?

if you look at your steering wheel...on the left hand side there is a handle stick sort of thing...on the end of that stick is a twist knob...turn that knob clockwise till the lights go out and drop back down...there is a slight delay but they will drop....LOL
Take a look at your Headlight motors Fuse in the engine bay fusebox. I forgot what exactly the fuse location is but it should be something like "RTR" or something in that nature. if all else fails check them all.
When my fuse blew my headlights stayed up and on when the car was completely off. :dunno:

Check your fuse IIRC its a 30 A fuse in the left side of the box.
If its blown, the headlights WILL stay on, even when turned off. Or if you replace it with a low fuse instead of the correct one.

Buddy talking - "the problem is the supra is completely turned off, head light switch on off, lights folded down BUT! the lights are still freakin' on. we;ve checked all the wiring for any corrosion and whatnot. he did tap into a couple random power wires for his gauges, a blue dash plug by the fuse box. we cut the wires just to check to see if that was the problem and nothing changed, lights still on. we have just about everything in the front dash area unpluged and those d@mn lights wont turn off.

This was my problem:
Car's off. Headlights are turned off and down, everything is off otherwise but the actual headlight are ON.
Solution: Blown fuse.
pull them ALL out and inspect. I cant remember which one it is that was blown, but around 6 oclock or so ill be able to help you out. PM me if you need my phone number or something

When I finished my 7M-GTE swap, as soon as I connected the battery, the headlights turned on. They didn't pop up, they just turned on.
I checked my fuses, and didn't find any that were blown, it just seemed to be that there was a ground signal going to the headlight relay, in the fuse box under the hood.
I eventually ended up cutting the wire, and running a new one to the #1 integration relay, eliminating the factory wiring harness. The ECU is supposed to get that signal as well, and I surmised that it was somehow getting a ground through the ECU link, since as soon as I wired the #1 integration relay output to the headlight relay, the lights work exactly as they're supposed to.
The only difference is that the engine idle doesn't go up when the headlights are on. Anyway, when you determine which fuse it is, I'd like to know. I'll check mine again.

If it's not any of the fuses, check the wire going to the ecu from the headlight relay. It shouldn't be grounded when the car is off. I had this same issue when I was trying to retain (with the motec) the idle up feature when headlight, rear defog and ac were on. HTH

little blue box on driver side kick panel,replace it.....it happened to me, i was replacing fuses like a mindless drone and i even took my car to a self proclaimed mk3 "know it all". low and behold he didnt know what was wrong. i was changing fuses again even though they were fine and it came to me out of desperation, what if i change out this blue box here next to my fuse panel? fixed my problem to this very day...btw the board inside that blue box was burnt up, dont ask me how idk..anyhoo it worked for me, good luck to you.:wavey:
