i pulled off all the stuff valve covers etc checked all the gaps all look good beside the ones on the intake side the cam bearing cap bolts are lose i went to torque them and it wouldnt even torque it just spun free till it snaped the bolt inhalf guessing a defective bolt my guess is the bolt streched or somthing but just broke

14lbs i couldnt even get 10 out of it it just jeep spinin and snaped im grabing a hand full from the junkyard they have a supra up there and try again but could lose cam cap bolts make the knockin i tryed everything starting to get annoyin lol about to pull the motor and start over if i cant get it

well if the bolt snaped you got to get the snaped part out of the head ARP is ARP, you would have striped the threads in the head before braking a ARP bolt

every bolt on my motor that has to do with topend and bottom end is ARP

NEVER had any problems

ya i got the broken part lose i just have to get a magnet and get it out but where do i find arp bolts for the cam caps? i cant find anything

im nto sure but i dont think arp makes the cam cap bolts. Also the threads might have been stripped, pull the cam cap off and try threading the proper bolt in and see how it works. if that doesn't work cehck the threading under the cam cap and see if the threads are still good. if not scrap the head and start over

why scrap the head when you can helicoil...any machinist can drill out the old threads and install a helicoil
