Hey guys---im going to be working on the engine soon anyways, so i was thinking that i was going to re-torque my head gasket.

im N/A

What should i re-torque it to? Is it a good idea to re-torque? Any "side-affects"?

thanks a bunch!!!

i re-torqued the HG on my GTE when i first got it. (hadnt enough cash for a MHG at that time) no side affects. some say you can "squish" the headgasket, but i havent heard of anyone actually doing that.

basically, following the TSRM order, you crack one loose, then torque it to 72ft lbs, and continue to do the same for the rest of them, making sure to follow the order. :)

I stepped my turbo up to 77lbs, about 10 pounds at a time. My hand was tired when I got through. Tried to keep the pressure pretty even all the way, rather than a 20lb difference between studs in the process.
