Hi there everyone. Im new here. Well for anyone doing a head gasket dont be a fool like me. I had the head checked for crackes and then deacked 0.010" and the block bored and honed magnafluxed and decked 0.010" and then used a 2mm head gasket.
New bearings and so on and so forth. Well 1 year later i assembled the engine " i was deployed to afghan" after assembley i instaled the engine and started that bad dog.
After runing it for 10 minutes i noticed a huge amount of white smoke comming out of the tail pipe. I sh#t a brick. I then did 3 more head gasket changes and one new head and a nice used ct26 before i found out it was the build up of old water in the muffler from the previous owner driving around on the BHG. In short make sure you dont jump to head gasket before you check the muffler. Have a good one, hope to post more on the tranny conversion.

Ya usually thats sometimes common after hg. Not usually to worry about and after you run it for so long it goes away.
