I just had my head rebuilt, do I have to follow a break-in period, and drive like a granny?

There's a good chance that you'll develop valve chatter after a few hundred miles. If so, you might have to re-shim them.

The valves will re-seat a bit unless you didn't cut the seats. When they re-seat they will throw out the valvelash a tad. Say you have it at 10 thousanths, it might go down to 9 or even 8.

wow, just great... someone should make a sticky with all info like that little bit you just told me, it would save others MUCH time and money... hmm, just a thought.

Kinda like how i had to remove my head after it was on, because I didn't have any clue that you are suppose to put RTV silicone in between the head and block at the front.

Where specifically do you put that silicone? I always got confused looking at the diagram on the online manual. I need to know exactly where it goes.
