ok i got my head and block back today and they said that they took 5 thousands off the head and 7 thousandths off the block. what size mhg am i looking at getting?

.005+.007=.012inches 1inch=25.4mm so .012inches= .3048mm so 1.0mm + .3048mm= 1.3048mm

hahah yeah i can see what you mean. well i didnt want to just post a number. how would you know it was right? it's just the total of what the machinist cut off in millimeters added to the stock hg thickness(1mm).

I only see one problem with this. You are adding the .3048 mm to 1.0mm...
I am correct in believing that the stock head gasket is 1.2 mm, so he would need a 1.5 mm to set the head and block same distance apart as stock?
