having headlight problems

i am having problems with the healights they wont stop going up and down and i dont where to start. i pulled the retractor control box from under the dash because it was making a weird noise. has anyone heard of this before and if you have how did you go about fixing it. if you have any answers or leads thanks.

I had the same problem with my jdm mirrors. just kept folding and unfolding. so i cut the wires problem fixed!

But in your case check the wires and make sure none are exposed and touching each other.

Have you tried a different "retractor control" box?

When you pulled the retractor control box from under the dash because it was making a weird noise did the noise sound like a clicking sound or something else?
