Haunted Dome light

Im having dun with my interior dome light.
It stopped working and has generally been forgotten. I got ahold of a clean one and swapped it out. I changed the bulbs and then went and got new ones also as nothing worked.

Today I go outside and the left one is lit. I cant get the right one to light so I swap bulbs. I kid you not now neither work again. I pulled it down and checked the connection. Everything seems good. I have ignition key lights, door lights, vanity mirror working. Just cant get the dome lights to come on with the door opening or the switches. *security light in dash shows the door open. Alarm works fine. Open door mayhem ensues.

Why would the light be on this morning? I changed nothing after giving up last night

the ground that is up there is riveted in and get corroded with rust. Need to drill it out and create a new ground.

ALso if the door switch is bad those wont turn on either. If the light on the door panel comes on then the door switch is good.

There is nothing the screw goes through to the body. I don't see any thing but the mount for the mirror. Its clean.

There is a rivet up there with grounds. They get corroded. It's been common for years.

The rivet is in the reflector assembly. Doesn't screw into the chassis.

got to wiggling on it. one moved a hair and the light came on. Now to figure out how to get a micro nut and bolt or small riveter
