As the title says, I'm having a hell of a hard time finding a block kit set of freeze plugs / expansion plugs / welch plugs.

I'm looking for some 40.8mm bass plugs, and coming up with nothing. Summit says no, Advance auto parts says no, Rock auto says 40.08mm brass, but the information I've found via search here on SM says I need 40.8mm ones.

Any ideas?

I have a 90+ 7m turbo block sitting on a stand in the shop with brass plugs in it. I could measure them for ya tomorrow to verify the size, if it would help.

I come from a land down under
Still using the OEM Steel ones that came in my new block but in the past I've bought Brass off the shelf here in Metric sizes to suit. (just sold as "40mm")

The only difficult one is for the front of the block as it's a shallow cup that has to be staked in place.

Heh - yes, but IJ, you and I live in Metric countries. It's easy to get them here - in the good old US of A, they don't like Metric so much.

Be kinda funny if you end up having to mail order them from Canada.

We've used doorman plugs (standard size) in the past, but they tend to come out during inopportune times. Such as on the dyno or driving down the road. Hence forth, we've used ONLY toyota supplied casting (freeze) plugs for these cars.
