i just kind of figured that i'd make a thread talking about how happy i am with my car. i see all these threads about people having troubles with their supras, or how they cant get them working right etc... even though my car does have a few small problems, its nothing major. since i've bought a daily driver, the supra has just been more and more about going faster. tonight i raced my friends modified c6 z06 corvette (cam, h pipe, exhaust, tune, intake). with my targa top off, and a passenger we're about even from 60-140. that's not too bad for an engine i got for $227 from a junk yard out of a 93 lexus sc300. not to mention i can to 140mph pulls over and over again with no issues, and no worries. all and all, it's been a pleasure lately to own this car. just thought i'd rant... i'm sure i'm not the only one who's happy with their supra. so, if you are, chime in.

I'm in love with my car. At first, I was afraid I might regret selling my GSR swapped '93 civic hatch, but when I took my Supra for her first test drive at 10:30pm the day before Easter, I couldn't help but buy it that night. (Don't worry, we pulled it into a VERY well lit garage and I looked it over very closely before handing over the $$ lol)

Since buying it, I've replaced the broken, stock CD deck, bypassed the dysfunctional stock amp, swapped out all the old, stock speakers for Infinity Reference (6.5's in the front, 4" in the back) and slapped on some aluminum rims from a Cobra. (275's in the back, 245's up front)

I absolutely love my car and won't part with it anytime soon.

I hope to do a turbo swap soon, but I like it the way it is now. A clean, stock, well kept NA can be very fun to drive. :)

i thought it was funny when people would call their supra a jackstand warrior. hhaha. if i happen to break mine its never down long. the last thing i broke was a bolt that holds the 1-2 shift fork in place on one of the rails in the transmission. that means i was stuck in permanent neutral. that was shitty.

I DD mine and honsetly besides my own screw ups, i have yet to break/destroy anything... Just got the maft-pro in so getting the tune ironed out is going to take some time but other wise the car has been quite reliable! Its all in the upkeep...

I've got ZERO complaints with mine, as if anything goes wrong its either my fault or just age. I DD mine and I was super happy with the NA, and now I wouldn't trade mine for ANYTHING now that I've got the 2jzgte in it.

i obviously dont dd mine... which is maybe why i'm so happy with it now. hahaha. i love the truck because its everything the supra isnt. economical, quiet, has a stereo, doesnt always run on race gas. can do 85mph... sort of =P the 2jz swap was definitely the best thing i've done to the supra. plus it sounds like a mk4 now, and is 10x smoother than the 7m.

Before getting a Supra, i had Mazda 626(85),Mazda 323F(95), Honda Prelude (93), Honda Legend (91), Volvo S80 T6 (99)..... But none of those cars delivered anything near Supra's fun factor category. I only have her for a half year, but i'm happy. Changed the clutch, rear shocks and that's all. Waiting for HG to fail :D. After that i'll drop 1jz. They are very sheap here. Then i'll start gathering ewerything i need for a 1uz swap. At least that's what i plan on doing.
Now, she's a daily driver. No serious problems. Just fun, fun and more fun. For the first time, after a few months of owning a car, i'm still not looking into other cars. I'm satisfied with my car :).

I kinda wish I could say that I was happy with my car right now but I'm not. It's been too long since I've actually driven a supra. Once I fix it and get it on the road I know for a fact I'll be 110% happier. :icon_surp

I'm looking forward to NOT using any MKIII as a daily driver. I don't care what engine it has or how many miles. I'm ready to get a real daily or at least something I don't care much about. Probably the reason mine is in the fs section. I am still very happy with my stripped purple MKIII :).
