Ok on the lower intake manifold there are 4(?) Sensors. once you get the one closest to the fire wall, WTF IS THAT OTHER DAMN CABLE?! I don't know where it leads to or how to get it off, I needa get my head off my stupid inspection is next week.

is it clear/white? I found a cable the other day and it ended up being for an auto tranny.

I think that it might be for the starter if it is one wire and has a brown clip.

Yup, there are three more wires that head that way on a 5 speed, anyhow. Starter, backup sensor (for the reverse lights) that goes to the tranny, and speed sensor for the antilock brakes.

...so how do I get those 3 things off? I just needa get the head off. It's a 5 speed too.

Those tranny sensors are a stone cold bitch to get at - the connector for them is usually on top of the tranny, a couple feet from where you can reach it on top.

The only way I can think of to get them disconnected would be to disconnect the tranny mount, let the tailshaft down enough that you could wriggle a hand up overtop... and it's not going to be pretty.

Personally, I pulled the engine and tranny, and while it was out added some plugs closer to the intake manifold.

If your not going to pull the motor or trans. Then just cut them. Install some connectors and do the head gasket.

i cut mine when i took the head off. splicing it back together takes 5 minutes...
