:aigo: ... Wow, I wish I knew what all of that meant. Another related subject on this, an aftermarket grounding system, do they really help out, or are they a waste of money?

My opinion, waist of money. You dont know what quality the wires are, you can get cheeper wires and put it together yourself.

However- if buying a grounding kit meants you will clean up all your grounds on a 15+ yo car then it is a good thing.

The main grounds that would make a difference, if any, are:

chassis -> battery neg.
block -> chassis
tranny -> chassis

Interesting concept... How good of a conductor is aluminum though? I say this because most solid motor mounts are going to be cast aluminum iirc. I would play it safe and still ground everything.

Definatly, i just bought a roll of 10 guage black wire and redid those with some eye holes crimped on the ends. unbolt the bundles of ground wires coming from the engine harness underneath the fuse box, and next to the air box/ filter and clean off the ends.
