Greddy turbo timer doesn't do anything

I just installed a Greddy full auto timer using a harness. The installation was easy and the timer turns on and appears to work fine. Problem is, when I turn the car off it turns off as well. What'd I forget?

Perhaps it needs battery power vs ignition power to the timer?
What do the instructions say?
