one of my friends wanted me to race this car his buddy had....

It was a 2000 pontiac trans am.....ls1 car. I figured I could hang with that, so along I went.

When I get there, the guy isn't there yet, so I wait on him. The car arrives.
I notice that it is camming it's ass off..... He pops the hood for me. Its a built LS1 with a 175 shot....I also notice the car has M/T ET drags on it.....hmmmm

I race him anyway, and he gives me 4 lengths and the go....then beats me by 5.

Turns out the car runs 10.40's off the nitrous, and 9.77's with it. so.....I knew it was going to happen anyway.

Then pulls in a stock 2002 trans am, manual trans. I race it too, because he wanted to race. I pull him by three lengths

so all in all, not that bad I guess

Don't let it bug ya'! I'll tell you what he can't do, :nono: that you can. He can't take that 'bird' out on the freeway, and run 120-140mph for a half an hour, without something breakin' inside his motor. :biglaugh: I'll bet it is not driven on the street all that often (with the price of fuel these days!) :aigo: You, on the other hand, have the best of both worlds! Power on demand, and a small degree of economy, if you can keep your foot out of it! :naughty:You also have a great degree of reliability, not common in the performance V-8 community! :icon_razz

cool cool Nice kill ans loss... Theres not many cars that can keep up to a LS1 mod for mod.. so easy to get killer times out of them its pathetic!

and there not only quartermile fast they are great for highway pulls too
