Hehe this is very long, but I need to express my happiness :D

To start off I've owned an NA for 2 years it defintely had some power, I guess it was "quick" not necessarily fast. Anyways when it shit the bed I got me the turbo car I always wanted. This was in September last year, I've been messing around with the car trying to fix all the problems since then.

I got the car running and drove it around for a few weeks. It had about as much power as my old car, I figured it was because it was a low compression engine with not much boost (maybe 5psi). Anyways I let a friend drive it one day, and he told me that I definitely had a misfire (it was open downpipe, so i figured the exhaust sound was messed up). I started checking out the ignition and long story short I was only firing on 4 cylinders.

Spent half a day fixing that up and took it for a drive. It pulled like never before through 1st and then died. Got out to check the problem and I blew off one of my IC pipes. I couldn't have been prouder. About 3 more pulls and I kept blowing off lines. Finally got it all tightened down, and the car pulled so hard constantly holding 11psi, I was smoking my tires through 3rd gear and the backend got squirrely. My peak-hold said I had hit 14psi.

This is 7 months after I bought the car, and I never knew it would be this fast. I was driving around on 4 cylinders and still thought it was fast. Its almost too much man for me. I'm so proud teehee.

mods:
walboro fuel pump
hks air filter kit
3" turbo elbow
3" open downpipe
3" IC pipes with HKS BPV
TurboXS boost controller
APEXI SAFC I
and got a lex afm/aeromotive afpr sitting in the garage

Damn Pat, that looks good, can you get more pics? Your set up looks nice!

IM glad to hear you got her running, and now you get to enjoy that feeling! Just be safe, and take her easy until you feel comfortable handling that new found power... I dont want you to loose this good feeling...

Hell yes man, doesn't even compare. I think theres a guy on sf in southern alabama whose selling a blown turbo 5spd for $400. I think it was just a BHG, so you'd be able to fix it up. I'd get it but have no place to keep it. If your still collecting cars (hehe) I'd jump on it and go turbo. I have alot of the stock pieces you need to go na->t if you want.

I'm gonna try and tie up a few loose ends and take some pictures of the engine bay and the car now that its not in 100 pieces. I'm gonna take it easy until I learn to handle the power.
