i have a 86.5 N/A and the driver door hinge bushings where so worn that the door didn shut correctly at all! striker hit sheet metal above the catch! anyways go to advance auto parts or o rileys auto parts and check out the HELP door hinge kits, i looked for the smallest pin and bushing diameter, which happened to be a ford one...go figure. so i propped up the door on some jacks and cloth over jack so i wouldn scratch paint, then removed bolts holding hinge to door and hinge to car. note to self ratchet wrenches would be good investment. only the top one really needed replaced on my door. so i had to die grind head off of pin due to the hinge pin is a large rivet, and punch out old worn brass bushing.the ford hinge kit was bout 1/16larger that toyotas pin and bushing so a had to reem holes a little, but i left a little bit of a bur on the holes for bushing to ensure a snug fit. and the pin that came in kit was of a different diameter than original so i drilled the other half of hinge to match it.little bearing grease on pin and if u found the same pin as i did then u will need to put the lower bolt for the hinge to door in the hole because once u insert and pound the pin into the hinge, u will not be able to put bolt in because the pin given is long.(pin could be cut though)but once the hinge is back together is just bolt into place and have a extra hand so u can align the door up and tightn bolts. i had to remove fender because i didn have extra hand or right tools the bolts from hinge to car are behind the fender so i used wobble joint and extensions for some but in end i had to remove fender to make it easyier. but as end product it works perfect!
