Ok, picked up some lower front ball joints for our 90 today. 1 is made in Japan and is OEM style seal and looking. the other is made in USA and is thicker around the joint part and is stiffer and has a typical push on dust boot unlike the snap ring japan made one. Both are Moog, and same part number... just 1 is made in USA, 1 in Japan and they are different by means of seal, stiffness and thickness of material in joint area. I'm leaning toward the japan made one... looks like OEM. Any ideas? freakin weird.

I read all the auto repair industry mags. The USA one is likely the 'new & improved' one. Either will serve you well. I would definetly use 2 that are the same, for matching performance.
The advertisements show that the USA ones are supposedly sturdier, with better everything. They are trying to get us (shops) to buy them over other brands, and dealer ones.
Who really knows ??? Mine originals have 170k on them, and still are working fine.
