Goodbye Supra....

Well, as some of you know my 87 turbo/targa/leather was for sale. It has been sold and today it was picked up and taken away. :wtc:

Matt is the name of the buyer. He was very excited to own a supra and was very convincing that he would love her and take as good care of her as i have. I also made sure he knew of this site and i told him that it is a must that he becomes a member.

I want to thank all of you, even those I never spoke to. As a community, you all kick arse. Any questions I needed answers to, I either found by searching or asked. As newby as they were I was helped. Being this is my 2nd supra, I'm sure that I will own another in the future. I'm also sure that I will still be an active member on here. I will attend meets and still follow some of those wonderful build threads Once again thank you. I learned a lot and i'm very greatful. Just wanted to post a goodbye thread and hopefully matt takes my advice and posts and introduction for himself.

Here are my final pictures of the car as it was leaving.

you have no idea. Just fixed the bhg and loved the hell out of this car. I didn't want to get rid of it but bad timing.

bummer....hopefully it goes to a good home.

He seemed trustworthy to hand the keys over. I don't think i could have if he wasn't going to treat her right.

I felt like parents leaving there kids with a babysitter for the first time. I had every piece of information and kept remembering things i forgot to mention. he was just happy for me to let him go.

LOL...its like OCD....I was in a financial situation that forced me to sell and have regretted it every day.

And I told him if he EVER was to sell it to call me first and I would find a way to buy it back.

hah. I just bought a $3,025 engagement ring. I want to buy a house so in that situation the supra always seems to be the first thing that has to go away. I was going to call him in a little bit to see if hes home ok.

The whole reason i bought this car was because if i didn't i knew i would regret it. Everyone told me not to but i did. Everything worked out fine. I'm not buying one in the near future. It will be quite a while until i do but i WILL and thats a promise.

You'll be replaying the scene of it driving away without you behind the wheel from time to time heh, I know I do. Good luck of the engagement I also bought a ring back in feb and it was worth it ;)

hey john, it's matt. I just became eligible to post on here and wanted to let you know that I'm taking good care of her. I promise. New tires are ordered for all four wheels (yokohama all seasons), and she's going to be visiting the body shop shortly to repair the small rust spots. In the excitement I drove her alittle too much in the last few days i think, and she's going to be resting for alittle bit, yesterday and today combined saw about 500+ miles and no issues to speak of. I drained the coolant, and bought 3 containers of the toyota brand red to replace it.
