I need someone that can weld sheet metal (thin stuff, I'm talking paper thin) so that I can add 1/16" steel to it to reinforce it. They need to be good, and they need to be able to come to me. I live in Mount Vernon. This is for a little custom project of mine. LMK folks, I know there's got to be more than one of you that fits the criteria.

Thanks
Adam

Sorry. I need a plate of steel welded to the radiator support so as to make it thicker and then have a U shaped bracket welded to the radiator support and the inner fenders. This will be so I can reinforce my radiator support fully. Hop in flashchat to talk to me live.

hell that sounds like some very simple welding. i can easily do that. i am a professional welder and bodyman. my price would be prohibitive to you though as i would need equal compensation to the work id be putting off to do yours. say $100/hr and transport cost for my equiptment(2.50/mile)

but as i said before it is some really simple welding, pick up a cheap wirefeed and learn a valuable skill, for about 6-700$ you can get a flux core welder and a cheap auto helmet. read the manual, watch a few internet vids on wirefeed and practice till you get it. it isnt that hard, and you have a new skill.

i would be a lot cheaper if you were here, but in order to come down there id have to take vacation time(a vary valuable hunting season commodity). and loose our on what my co pays me. drive it down to a local bodyshop and talk to one of the techs there. it might cost you a few beers and some cash but one of those guys would probably be willing to do it.

I actually have a gas wire feed MIG welder here. So really the only thing you'd need to bring is yourself and maybe a welding helmet (can't remember if I have a welding helmet or not). The car is immobile right now, so I can't take it to a shop.
