Good universal 3'' muffler?

So, me and the wife made the longest trip so far with the 1jz swap to walmart (20 miles each way) last night and noticed my exhaust is pretty loud at cruising speed. I know it's going to be kinda loud at WOT, but is there a quality universal 3'' round type muffler that would be a little more quiet? Like an Apex N-1 or something of that nature? Right now I have the stock y-pipe and downpipe, but have a chinaman y-pipe/downpipe to put on still and 3'' piping to a 3'' crap ebay muffler with a hi-flow cat. Thanks guys.

A buddy of mine had and Ultra flow from Summit Racing on his. It sounds really good. And it wasnt expensive either.

Burns...oh quiet? Ummm I think HKS Dragger is quiet. Those mufflers are expensive though...

I have a Borla (w/ a dynomax resonator and RT cat) on my 7m. At freeway speeds, its slightly louder than stock (I was surprised how little) but is a bit louder (than stock) at WOT. I also put on on of their intercooled tips, there was a significant tonal difference between a strait cut vs borla i/c tip (much smoother tone).

Everyone that has heard it likes the sound. This is the Borla ProXS oval muffler.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it is not 3" all the way through the muffler.

My Carbon Ti is pretty quite at cruise on the freeway, Quiet enough for me to not notice, but its super loud to everyone else.

If you are just wanting a quiet muffler and not a whole new exhaust, get one that comes with a silencer, or put one in it, that way you can be quiet when you want, and loud when you want .

I love the deep sound of the Carbon Ti. The Apex'i N1 was nice also when it was on Moe's car and will probably sound nice on Mikes car.

If you are just wanting a quiet muffler and not a whole new exhaust, get one that comes with a silencer, or put one in it, that way you can be quiet when you want, and loud when you want .

Mine has a silencer, but restricts like a mofo. I appreciate the suggestions guys. I'll probably add a resonator while I'm at it.

I had the apexi N1 muffler on my old supra with no cat or silencer it was loud but not too drony on the highway.

I have cooleze magamouth DP, no cats, and a magnaflow muffler and its pretty quiet, at crusing speeds.

Nothing sounds like Borla but Borla. That being said, I do like my HKS turbo exhaust from Suprasport.

Tanabe super hyper medallion.

Car sounds amazing at wot but very quiet at normal driving. Sounds almost like a g35 but slightly louder.

im running an apex n 1 right now. it loves to set of alarms on the steet but the cruise on the freeway is pretty smooth. i love the sound
