So me and dave (jerseyslowpra) went down to the races last night, cruised a little. First time i've seen his car in person, thing is really nice, looks good wit the side exhaust. So we head down to 61st and nothin good is going on, just a bunch of rices doing reverse donuts and beatin up they're pieces of shit. After a few laughs and seeing that nothing good was going on there we go to holstein, where we see a red mk3...shitty body but mk3 non the less. we park and talk to the guys, dont think they're on the forums. There was an mk4 racing there also, guy from SF "jahmaka".
After we talk for a while the guy wants to race dave because he see's his mods and such. "He got everything but the kitchen sink" were his exact words, the guys mod from wat we initially saw were...hardpipes, bov and apr, nothing that looked too serious. Dave agrees and we go to another part, near the airport where no one is. They line up, warm up they're tires...and go.
Dave hits fuel cut and looses within 5 car lengths. The fucking red mk3 is fast...They go for a second round, this time the race is very close but dave looses once again. All i hear is "that aint no stock turbo" from dave when comming back. We finnally get it out of him, he says it was a t70 turbo and had many more mods, including rebuilt engine... .20over, forged pistons, internals, runnin 20psi, the whole 9 yards. Sad dave did as good as he did against it because he claims 400rwhp and 12.5 in the 1/4 mile.
Seeing how dave did so well against him he kept saying "oh you must have a 60-1 upgrade". Never believed it was a stock turbo. So now he officially has the secret 60-1 upgrade. That guy just didnt have his car tuned right...that shit was leaking oil like crazy. After that we go back to 61st because a mustang wanted to race dave (i get no action). Dave wins. hehe finally....
oh and my car broke down. i made a post on that called "EFI fuse keeps blowing"...that fixed, i think
