I have a chance to buy an upgraded CT-26 that is supposedly able to support 600 hp. Here's how the guy described it.
This turbo has been upgraded with a modified Garrett 66 trim compressor wheel, that has a larger inducer and exducer. The compressor housing has been machined to match the contour of the upgraded compressor wheel, externally looks stock. The turbine wheel is a Stage 3 Garret T3.
I'm only looking for 400-450 hp for now and i'm wondering if it being a .66 trim will cause more lag? I'm guessing this turbo makes it's power at higher rpm, right?
He wants $600 for it but might be negotiable. What do you think?
