I am in need of a new 7mgte and was wondering what companies people have used in order to buy engines. I would like postive and negative feedback and whether a warranty of any kind is given. Links to websites if possible. Thanks in Advance.

Please no comments about getting a 7m instead of a 1jz. Money isnt very plentiful right now and i need my car back on the road. (DD)

Rebuild your own, or get one out of a rear ended supra to rebuild. Better spending 2-3K now on a rebuild then spending 1K for an engine that will shit out on you a year later, only to have to dump 2-3K in it to rebuild it like you should have done the first time ;).

That is the exact reason I just sucked it up and put forged pistons in! :biglaugh:

Rebuild it yourself, learn your motor.

DO NOT GO TO OSAKA MOTORS..... they sent me a junk engine and had to spend 2k just to get it running and still having problems.... and they will not fix the mess ups... i have 2 2jzge engines.. one is complete with harness(uncut) and auto trans... $600 for both and then you can rebuild the one and 1.5jz it

Well... I'm narrowed down to 2 companies. I have heard a few good things about "Japanese Engines Inc." which is on the west coast somewhere.(I dont remember where) And I also found "japangeneraljdmmotors.com" . Both are very close in price, but i would like any feedback from people who have used them. I talked to my mechanic, and he said that it isnt worth rebuilding my old engine.

^^^^^^ Agree with the two above recommendations of JHOT and Driftmotion and I feel compelled to add Jarco to the list. They sell rebuilt engines and you can even get them with a MHG.

I plan on doing a turbo swap into my NA. however, I dont want to reuse my current motor for the swap. I plan to have the motor rebuilt no matter where it comes from, so im not looking for a turn key motor.

Will a junk yard be the best bet just to find a motor then rebuild it ground up?
