Just blew one of my rears so I might as well replace them with something mean. Whats a good size? It will be on stock suspension, so I will have plenty of gap to fill.

Also, which will last the longest on the street? I won't be dailying this car any longer so this will just be for fun nights :). Thanks guys.

I personally will go with Mickey thompsons, They do make 275/45/17s... Plus i heard they are pretty sticky! Or Racemasters.. I want 275/50/17s on the rear, i do have coilovers though.

Mickey Thompson makes a 255/50/16. It's a great tire, I used it on my car and at 600hp level I cut 1.6 60 fts.
Sweet!! i didn't know that.

or stick to street tires aren't you bone stock anyway?

Goodyear has a All Season F1 now, i'm gonna be testing that out soon. The DSD3 is also a great tire but it's $$$$.

too bad nitto's have a hard time hooking 400hp.

If they're cold.. they will spin once and then they're heated up and will hold just fine.

Hams used to have them on his car and he had over 600rwhp iirc, only difference was he had 275/18 iirc.

Nittos will be the best if you want a sticky tire that will last a long time (12,000+ miles). But it looks like you've changed your mind since the start of this thread and won't be running these 24/7? Mickey Thompson is the obvious choice for a no compromise sticky tire.

I spun nitto 555R DR's through 300ft multiple times.. and that was without using the two step. I can launch on the two step on the street on mt ET DR's...

It really depends on how much you drive your car and if you plan on driving in the rain. The Nitto DR's are a good compromise between an every day tire and a drag tire. The BFG's and MT's are grippier for the track and street, but you will be lucky to get 5K miles out of them and are dangerous in the rain.

I have BFG's for the track and they seem to work very good on a well prepped track. But I would never use them for everyday. They just don't last.

^You can fit whatever the hell you want to fit on a sawblade...Like I said earlier.

But it comes down to personal preference and opinion. :)

245 is what I recommend on a sawblade.

On the flipside, Most people don't realize that something like a 225 drag radial will hook better than a typical 275 street tire.

It's not always about the uber JDM tire wideness. :biglaugh:....But it does help.

And yes, MT FTW.
