ok so i just bought a 89 supra 7m-ge, the kid blew the head gasket runnin a 10 lb tank of NOS ON HIS FIRST SHOT lol so i picked it up for a little over 1k.... 1.1 to be exact and im pretty good at workin on these, been around the block.
Alright im thinking of putting 1 of those turbo kits, they only cost 900$ off ebay its the l6 gt45 *if anyone knows if thats decent* im not gonna be pushing more then 14 psi..i already have a mhg but im probably gonna change it. but to add on to this i wanna build up the bottom end so it can handle it. any suggestions for the bottom end? Should i stick with forged stock pistons or bore it out, i heard maximum bore should be limited to 85.5mm. im not going for INSANE Hp but i want it to be somewhat quick,... quicker then it is already so if you guys got any suggestions or comments , throw em out, ill post some pics tell me what ya think
o yea, so my pop up light motor stopped working on the passenger side so i decided to make em flush with the car, made a sheet metal box with some lexan covering it, i think it looks decent? eh, had to cut into the radiator support so i did reinforce that. P.S. Taking out the headlights and motors and hood popper and installing hood pins dropped ~ 60 Lbs
Yea and i need front and rear strut bars but i dunno where to get em besides ebay and i dont want 10$ low quality shit, i got the targa top and its pretty loose around corners
Heres a pic, need to take some more, and ill be adding more when the process begins, just gotta get all the goods together! Oh and im gonna paint it, should i keep it red or paint it another color? i was thinkin black @_@ since im a mechanic and i get greasy fingerprints all over it all the time without trying lol.
