Hey all I just want to do a quick parts check and tool check before I begin ripping into my diff.

Rebuild Kit: This kit covers all the bearings and seals as far as I can see, anyone have any experience with this kit?

Solid Pinon Bearing Spacer: I dont want to use the crush washer and would rather have a solid spacer. I have play in the pinion bearing (the companion flange can be moved .5" in either L/R U/D, a little in/out play).

Shim kit/Spring kit: I basically DD the car, I want a tighter diff with very little chatter, Im going to shoot for the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to break away torque (75-80ft*lb).

As for tools. I have a 25 ton press (might be a 20 actually), dial gauges, calipers and torque wrenches. Do I need any SST's for the rebuild or can most things be done without them? I just want to hear your guys experiences since I have never rebuilt a diff.

You'll need an sst to get the axles out.
They'll loan you the puller at autozone for free. As for the solid pinion spacer, it will take a couple tries to get the fitment right.
