I know that this has been asked before and i've spent hours searching for the best answer but i still can't figure this out but here's the deal, i'm getting a maft setup soon and i really want to run it in blow thru, but i do not have a safc or wideband. Would it be even possible to get the car running right without those 2 tools? my car is a na-t running 10psi. I do not plan on running any more boost (at least for a while, until i build up my suspension more) my mods so far are spearco IC, 2.5 hard pipes, suprasport elbow, 3" downpipe along with 3" exhuast. please don't go out and tell me to guy buy a wideband or safc because if i were to do that i wouldn't be asking this question in the first place. Thanks guys

yes. under idle, cruise and part throttle the ecu is going to take care of that for the most part.

under wot, you will need to tune it. it will run ok with no corrections, but most likely its going to be in the 10:1 range. not ideal for power, but it will be ok. the maft does have some tuning ability w/ the controls inside the box. it isnt as fine as the safc, but you can get it in the ball park atleast. you dont have to go an buy a wideband, but before you do any tuning atleast take it to the dyno w/ a wideband so you arent blindly tuning. you can usually rent some tuning time on the dyno for around $100, or cheaper if you just wanted to do a couple runs.

when i go for a dyno tune do they need a wideband bung to be already welded on your dp?? or they just stick something in your exhuast?

I don't think bov location is relevant, but not sure. You should be able to start and drive it with all settings at zero but make sure you set the fuel injector size.

yes, the maf has to be after the bov so you wont have any stalling issues. not sure of your Y pipe, but the isc inlet hose has to be on the ic pipe between the maf and the throttle body.
