Goes in reverse when in park

ok, so I bought the X's 92 accord for my nuclear road trips. kbb said it was worth about 23 houndred or so, I think an i got it from her for a grand.
I didnt think she knew how beat up it was from her kid since she really wanted more for it..
but , a few weeks ago, in Ga I noticed when it was engin wasnt warmed up, the shifter (automatic) was really tough getting out of park.
then as the weeks go by, when I put it in park, sometimes it will drift on me, so I have to really shift it into park kinda hard for it to catch,

, no the other day comming back from a job, I park it in my alley, an the next day I go to move it, only to find when I put it in park, it engages in reverse.
I havnt pissed with it yet, , an I' have one my job deu in Arkansas in a few days for about 2.5 weeks.

what do you guys think it is, an think it is still worth taking on the road trip... ?

Check the linkage? I think thats what it's called. I had that problem on an escort I owned, ended up being a loose bolt that slipped causing it to not fully go into park.

Anyways, will it just not go into park, or are all positions shifted over by one? By shifted, i mean V

worse comes to worse, leave it in neutral and use the handbrake, Manual style..

Its either the linkage or the valve body in the tranny has gone fubar.
