Here is tip. If you can't open the lock and trying to jimmy the key will not work. There is a plastic part in the back that probably has its little tab broken.
You can get to the metal latch that it closes on with help from someone. BE CAREFULL especially if you have mint shadow grey.
with a sawzaw one person can hold/pry down and shine a flashlight so you can see what your cutting. Cut the bars and glovebox will open.
I'm in the process of my 3rd glovebox and the first 2 I ruined getting them open. During daylight you can't see the bars without a flashlight.
Part number for new 69056-1401-13 This might be color coded I would check so you don't get a grey one for your blue,brown...eh you get the point.
