I always like to start it up and as sooon as it starts hold the pedal to the floor for 30 seconds. This will clear most carbon build up and it should run like a champ afterward.

@OP: Assuming that everything is in good to excellent condition already, and that your cooling system is tight and secure, with no build-up of junk between the A/C condenser and radiator, your head gasket is in good condition with head bolts re-torqued to 72 ft-lbs, or head gasket is replaced with ARP hardware holding down the head, and that you have good oil pressure, then the easiest way to get more power is to install a boost controller, and pump up the boost to ~10 PSI.

If you want to go further than that, you should learn more about how the car works, and what issues to look out for. Actually, you should do that before doing ANYTHING to the car.

Sorry i probably should have said just kidding or something. In all seriousness. Everyone else is right. Chances are your supra has been mistreated and ill maintained for the past decade so maintenance and a LOT of reading and learning will do you a ton of good. Not trying to offend but the fact that you ask a question like this shows you probably need to read up a bit more before doing anything to the car. We've all been there, i know i have:p

Keep in mind the car is 25 years old so all the parts/seals and such may be 25 years old. Doesn't matter if it doesn't have many miles or that it was garage kept. Don't mind the grumpies. We just see this all the time with new people. If you have to ask such basic questions though its probably not a good idea to go crazy with mods right off unless you are prepared to have someone else who knows what they're doing do major work on the car. These cars will drain your wallet quick if you don't know exactly what you're doing.

^Amen. The learning curve on these cars are not just emotionally and physicaly painful, but it will rape your wallet, bank account, credit card, and the change in your couch. Learn as much as you can (ie read the forums and other resources) before doing anything to the car. BTW sounds like a good find. Start with general maintenance - change all fluids, belts, hoses, check all brakes suspension, steering... this will give you a great intro to the car mechanicaly. Then go from there.

1st of all Poodles is right 77k miles doesnt mean anything, rubber rots and hardens over time(which means a blown coolant line and then warped head)
i bought my 91 with 76k miles and garage kept. i replaced all common maintenance items before the jump into more power(fluids, belts, spark plugs, wires, hoses, brakes, brake lines, filters...etc)

once i new my car was running well enough to handle power i then started to modify

start with upgraded air filter, 3 in down pipe, 3in cat back exhaust, install a ELECTRIC boost controller(MBC tend to change psi with weather change), set boost to 10-12psi
if your not happy with that then proceed with more upgrades like a 57 trim ct
at 1 point you will need to address fuel cut and needing more fuel
youll need a way to pump more fuel into the engine...so higher flowing fuel pump(walbro 255 does nice), bigger injectors(common 550cc), adjustable fuel pressure regulator(driftmotion sells a kit)
with that said youll now need a way to control it and make fuel cut stop bitching...this is where you decided wether you want to go with a lexus afm/safc combo or other tuners(piggybacks)
maft pro, emanage, apexi safc, hks vpc, standalone....really it endless

research...theres this real nice feature on this forum
scroll up and theres a search button...use it and youll find what you need or use google
