well, i have bad rod knock, the shop pulled the head, and the crank and block are totally messed up, so i'm going to pick up a new long block and drop it in over the next month.

besides the obvious, like belts/gaskets/pumps, are there any obvious things i should upgrade/replace while i'm in there? i have an auto, so i'm not worried about clutch/flywheel, but I do want to make sure i've got all my bases covered.

thanks!

check your flexplate for any warpage even if its minimal, if you've got an auto im assuming you've powerbraked before and its gonna be a pain once you warp it like i did.

assuming your rebuilding your new 7m once you get it right??, or just dropping it in?

valve clearances, and all other clearances on everything that rotates.

i meant "replacement 7m" not NEW new... god, if i wanted to spend that much i'd go 2jz.

If you go with a properly built 7M, you can stay with the 2J.

What kinda price you looking to spend?
