georgia title question

ok i live in alabama. heres the story am going to go look a 85 celica in georgia. they dont have the title for it. they said they dont need it because its old. they said all i will need is a bill of sale and the current tag paper work. i call the local court house in ala. they said thats all i will need to get it registered in ala. i know for a car not to have a title in ala is 74 and lower. what year in GA do you not need a title for? and has anyone ever done this? i had a hard time explaining this so thanks for the help.

here in GA from 85 and older you dont need the title, just a bill of sale only, not even a registration, i have been doing bussines with cars for more than 10 years now here in the state of GA and for those 85 and older cars it is a no hassle bussines, but if you are going to buy from other state you better check your state DMV for state laws before buying, it will save you a lot of head aches and money!

thats a aswome law. i working on my 85 supra abandon title and its taking forever. i just called and i will need a bill of sale and a tag paper work.
